Brazilian media also draws attention to the new single woman attuned with the literature and filmography on singles over 30s, living in big cities. The emergency of the expression new single women, is rooted in the feminist ideas of autonomy, freedom and independency, opposed to the spinster of the past. In this paper I analyze how lone women are often portrayed in Brazilian media texts through gendered polarizations, age social and geographic position.

Quanto resultado, os jovens apontam que os relacionamentos atuais baseiam-se na individualidade, opção, descartabilidade, busca do romantismo, igualdade de gêneros e superficialidade. Thus, the future of relations would be based on greater individualism among partners and couples living in separate houses. Through this survey, it was found that relationships today are based on freedom and individuality, occurring when there is the investment of both parts.
